Grade 12 - Highlight - Choice #3 - SWAT

In grade 8-12 I was in the Student Work and Advisory Team. We work with the WVPD to organize events for youth and work to prevent crime in the community.

Grade 12 - Highlight - Choice #2 - Coaching Diving

This year I coached diving again for the Dolphins Dive Club and the Cruisers Dive Club. I was more involved; taking the kids to competitions, writing their lists, and registering them

Grade 12 - Highlight - Academics - Law

This year I took law 12 and I really enjoyed the course because it was new and taught in a university lecture style, which I thought was a nice change to everyday classes at Collingwood

Grade 12 - Highlight - Service - Encounter XXIV

This year I went as assistant rector on Encounter XXIII and as rector on Encounter XIV

Grade 12 - Highlight - Choice #1 - Applying to University

First term of this year was very stressful. Applying to schools, trying to keep grades up, and maintaining a balance between it all was a challenge. Applying to schools though was a highlight for me because for the first time I had a choice for my future and I could decide where I wanted to apply. I had seen all the schools before on tour so it was cool to be able to actually apply to them at this point in the year. I look forward to hearing back in the new year.
This is a photo of me at my top choice school, University of San Diego!

Grade 12 - Highlight - Academics - Calculus

This year I had to take calculus as a prerequisite for university applications, which I was not very happy about. Although I was not so keen on this subject, I worked hard to achieve the A I needed in first term for American schools, which I was very proud of since it took a lot of hard work on my part.

Grade 12 - Highlight - Athletics - Sports Day

The first annual House Sports Day was a highlight for me in Grade 12.  I participated in the long jump and 4x100 m relay with Mackenize house, we came second! I hope this tradition continues next year even when we are gone and graduated.
